THE Sultan FC, Irrigators FC and Crocs FC-Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) eked out victories in Sunday's opener of the 7s Football League held at the Azuela Cove football pitch in Lanang, Davao City.
The Sultan FC relied on the services of Joseph Aranas, Rashid Arman and Abdulsal Mamadali to beat Davao United, 4-2, in the event sanctioned by the Davao-South Regional Football Association (DRFA).
The Irrigators FC, meanwhile, overwhelmed Dolores FC, 7-1, behind the heroics of Kem Paulino who made a hat-trick. Birn Manique, John Paul Laurencio, Evelito Mortillero, and Jose Pagal also knocked in one goal each.
The Crocs FC-RMC, meanwhile, survived a 5-3 triumph over Solido JT's Manukan.
Warren Ravanes netted three goals while Archemides Ligaray and Dodong Zamora had one apiece.
The 7-A-Side tournament will resume on Sunday, November 4.
