Some 1,600 participants have registered as of January 13, 2025 for the first-ever Davao Women's Run PH, hailed as the country's largest women's running event, set in an out-and-back course from SM Lanang on Sunday, January 19, 2025.
Local organizer Kenneth Sai of KinetixSports confirmed that participants are registered in the kids' 1K and women's 5K and 10K categories.
He said the 1K division is open to boys and girls aged 12 and under. Parents are welcome to join their kids. However, "Only girls are eligible for podium finishes," Sai clarified.
Registration fees are pegged at P1,500 (10K) and P1,200 (5K and 1K) inclusive of singlets, bibs, medals, and loot bags.
Participants can register and claim their race kits from January 16 to 18, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., on the second floor of SM Lanang, near OshKosh.
"Gamay nalang ang slots (Only a few slots are available)," Sai said, underscoring Davao's debut as a host city for Women's Run PH, which will also visit SM MOA in Pasay City on March 9, 2025, and Festive Walk Mall in Iloilo City on July 20, 2025.
As of January 14, all 5K slots have been fully booked.
Organizers, in a press release, highlighted the event's focus on celebrating women's strength, resilience, and empowerment.
Sponsored by ION+ as the official electrolyte drink partner and Summit as the official hydration partner, the run aims to promote an active, healthy lifestyle and foster lasting connections among participants.
