Mayor inspects proposed site for Iloilo City Hospital

MAYOR Jerry Treñas conducted an inspection visit to the proposed site of Iloilo City Hospital in Barangay Hinactacan, La Paz district Thursday, February 20.

"We need to identify and check the viability of the location. The hospital will cater to our people and communities in far-flung areas, unlike other barangays which are near the city center," Treñas said.

"The health facility will be a big help to our residents particularly in times of emergencies where they can seek treatment faster and more accessible," he added.

Treñas earlier said City Hall was eyeing a two-hectare property for the establishment of the structure.

The City Government will also be allotting P58 million per year for personnel requirement of the hospital.

Department of Health-Western Visayas will construct the building for the 50-bed hospital that would cost some P159 million. (PR)
