POLICE arrested on Sunday, June 3, the live-in-partner of Ozamiz City councilor Ricardo "Ardot" Parojinog, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Oscar Albayalde said Monday, June 4.
Mena Luansing, also known as Meme or Madame, had sought refuge in Belisario Compound in San Isidro, Parañaque City in Metro Manila.
She was arrested by a combined team from the Parañaque Police station, Directorate for Intelligence and the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency at around 7 a.m. Sunday.
Also arrested during the operation was Jonal Cablitas for allegedly coddling Luansing.
Luansing resigned as a member of the Misamis Occidental Provincial Board in January.
She has a standing warrant issued by Edmundo Pinlac of the Ozamiz City Regional Trial Court Branch 15 for drug-related charges and illegal possession of firearms and explosives which stemmed from the raid conducted by the police in the Parojinog compound on July 30, 2017.
That raid resulted in the killing of Ozamiz City mayor Reynaldo Parojinog, his wife and 13 other persons.
Ricardo, Luansing's common-law partner, was also a subject of the raid but he eluded arrest. He was arrested while in hiding in Taiwan.
Albayalde said they have yet to establish Luansing's role in the illegal drugs involvement on illegal drugs of the Parojing clan. (VoxPop Philippines)
