Covid-19 in PH: 102 new cases, 17 more deaths

THE Department of Health (DOH) reported 102 new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in just over the last 24 hours, thus bringing the total count to nearly 7,300.

Based on the latest DOH Case Bulletin, there are now a total of 7,294 Covid-19 cases in the country, as of Saturday, April 25.

Of the total number of cases, 17 new fatalities were reported.

This brings to 494 total number of deaths due to Covid-19.

The health department also said 30 new recoveries from the disease were reported among Covid-19 cases.

This means that a total of 792 patients have already recovered from Covid-19.

Globally, as of April 24, the World Health Organization said there are already 2,631,839 confirmed cases of new pandemic with 182,100 deaths.

In the Western Pacific Region, the Philippines ranks fifth in total cases after China, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea. (HDT/VoxPop Philippines)
