DEPARTMENT of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año said Tuesday evening, September 1, 2020, that he has been discharged from the hospital.
However, he remains under home quarantine until his repeat tests for Sars-CoV-2 yield negative results. Sars-CoV-2 Is the causative agent of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
Año announced on August 16 that he tested positive for the virus again. He was discharged from the hospital on August 30, or two weeks later.
Año said he still had a mild cough as of Tuesday evening. Otherwise, he was feeling fine.
"Hindi na ako nag-antibiotics kasi virus ito. Magte-take ka lang ng antibiotics kung namaga 'yung lungs mo o tinamaan 'yung lungs or kidneys or (internal) organs mo," Año said.
"Pero pag malakas lungs mo, yan ang laban mo diyan," he added.
