Duterte grants P10,000 service incentive to all state workers

ALL government employees, whether regular, contractual or casual, will get a service recognition incentive of at most P10,000 for 2019 on top of their Christmas bonus.

President Rodrigo Duterte issued Administrative Order No. 19 on Monday, December 2, 2019, authorizing the grant of a one-time service recognition incentive for government workers in the executive department.

Covered by the order are:

• regular, contractual and casual civilian personnel in national government agencies, including those in state universities and colleges (SUCs) and government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs); and
• military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Bureau of Corrections, Philippine Coast Guard and National Mapping and Resource Information Authority.

Personnel who have rendered less than four months of service as of November 30, 2019 will get a pro-rated share of the incentive.

A P10,000 service recognition incentive may also be granted by the legislative and judicial departments.

For local government employees, release of the incentive would depend on the financial capability of the local government unit and as determined by their respective legislative councils.

Employees in local water districts may also receive the bonus upon approval by their respective board of directors. (MVI/VoxPop Philippines)
