PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte said Sunday, April 29, that it is not yet the time for the government to publicize the names of the baranggay officials included in the government's drug watch list.
"It is not time. I have to get back all of those who want to get back," Duterte said in an interview during his arrival from Singapore.
In line with the upcoming baranggay and sangguniang kabataan elections the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) was supposed to release the names of the baranggay official involved in Duterte's narco-list last week.
However, it was moved in Monday, April 30, as PDEA director Aaron Aquino said that the Malacañang has submitted more names which they have to consolidate.
Aquino said at least 211 baranggay officials, mostly from the Bicol region, are on the list.
He said majority of the names on the list were protectors of illegal drugs trade in their areas of jurisdiction.
The PDEA, however, is yet to comment on the matter although a press conference was set on Monday at the PDEA ground together with the officials from the Department of Interior and Local Government. (VoxPop Philippines)
