BRIGADIER General Valeriano de Leon has been designated as the new police chief of the Central Luzon Police Regional Office (PRO-3) effective October 7, 2020.
De Leon will replace Brigadier General Rhodel Sermonia, who was assigned as the acting director of the Police Community Relations Group.
Sermonia will be taking over the post of Major General Dionardo Carlos, who is now the head of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations in Southern Luzon.
Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Camilo Cascolan also designated Brigadier General Benjamin Acorda Jr. as the new head of the anti-police scalawag arm of the PNP, the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG).
Brigadier General Ronald Lee, who was the IMEG director, will be the new deputy director for Human Resource Doctrine and Development.
Brigadier General Eliseo Cruz, who was the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) director, was assigned as the deputy head of the PNP Directorate for Plans.
Replacing Cruz is Brigadier General Alexander Tagum.
The Directorate for Intelligence has a new deputy director in the person of Brigadier General Adolfo Samala Jr.
These new assignments take effect on October 7, 2020.
This is the sixth reorganization implemented by Cascolan since he assumed as PNP chief in September. He will be retiring on November 10, 2020. (VoxPop Philippines)
