A QUEZON City barangay captain was killed in an ambush on Wednesday morning, January 30 in Barangay Bagong Silangan.
Quezon City Police District Station 6 commander Superintendent Joel Villanueva said Bagong Silangan Barangay Captain Crisell Beltran was shot dead around 11:30 a.m. by four motorcycle-riding suspects while aboard her sports utility vehicle along JP Rizal in the said barangay.
Also killed in the incident was Beltran's driver, Melchor Salita while four other including three minors were injured.
Police said the possible motive of the killing is still being investigated. (VoxPop Philippines)
