THE Department of Health (DOH) on Monday, August 30, 2021, clarified that the special risk allowance (SRA) given to eligible healthcare workers (HCW) are prorated based on the number of days during which the HCW physically reports for work.
"This means that HCWs will not automatically get the full P5,000 per month," the DOH said.
Based on Administrative Order No. 36 s. 2020, the SRA is computed as follows: P5,000 divided by 22 days and multiplied with the number of days physically reporting for work.
The DOH on August 26 said the Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) for P311 million worth of SRA had been downloaded to its Centers for Health Development (CHDs) to benefit an additional 20,208 healthcare workers.
It was the first batch of fund transfers for the grant of SRA to hospitals and health facilities that earlier submitted an additional list of eligible healthcare workers. (Marites Villamor-Ilano / VoxPop Philippines)
