CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Certification, authentication, and verification (CAV) of permits and other documents can now be requested directly at the Department of Education (DepEd)-Central Luzon.
“In line with President Rodrigo Duterte’s order to cut red tape and complete government transactions within 30 days, we streamlined our frontline services for a faster and simplified processing of elementary and secondary education diploma, official transcript of records and other school records either for employment, study abroad or Seaman’s Book. All are free of charge,” DepEd Regional Director Malcolm Garma said.
Transaction slips will be given to applicants by the Records Section to confirm the receipt of authentic, complete, and intact documents. Accordingly, the processing of CAV requests takes 10 days.
“Applications received until 3 p.m. will be transmitted to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) for authentication within the same day while those which will be received after the cut-off time will be sent to DFA the following day,” Garma added.
The requested documents can also be claimed at the DFA office in Macapagal Avenue, Aseana Business Park, Paranaque.
Those who are scheduled to leave the country within 10 days are allowed to hand-carry their CAV application to the DFA Regional Consular Office in Robinsons Starmills Pampanga.
