THE Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) announced on Saturday the completion of the five-day skills training that benefited 100 inmates at the Zamboanga City Reformatory Center (ZCRC).
ZCRC warden Ervin Diaz said the skills training, which started on April 25, included courses in electrical wiring, arch welding, engine tune-up auto mechanic, and carpentry. Each course has 25 inmate-graduates.
Chief Inspector Diaz said the training would enable the inmates acquire the necessary skills, knowledge, understanding, and proficiency in their respective courses.
The ZCRC warden said the training was a joint project of the BJMP and the Zamboanga City State Polytechnic College-Extension Services Unit. (Bong Garcia/VoxPop Philippines)
