Superintendent Antonietto Cañete, chief of Himamaylan City Police Station, said the ceremonial signing of barangay drug clearing operations was held at New City Health Conference Room in Barangay I- Poblacion Monday morning.

The program was also attended by Mayor Agustin Ernesto and the 11 village chiefs.

Cañete said the activity aims to disseminate information regarding the police’s massive implementation of Project Double Barrel Alpha in the war against drugs.

It also aims to solicit support from local officials to maintain the status of the drug-cleared barangays, he added.

The 11 barangays are added to the 30 existing drug-cleared barangays in the province.
