A TOTAL of 120 colorum or unregistered tricycles were seized in separate operations in six barangays in the southern part of Bacolod City from June 30 to July 6.

Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) Head Luisito Acebuche told VoxPop Bacolod on Thursday, July 6, that they conducted operations in Barangays Handumanan, Mansilingan, Alijis, Sum-ag, Pahanocoy and Tangub.

Acebuche said they started to apprehend drivers of colorum tricycles after they received complaints from concerned individuals.

The BTAO head noted that most of the violators paid P2,100 for their offense in colorum operations for driving without driver’s license and business permit.

As of July 6, more than 50 colorum tricycles are still impounded at the Bacolod City Police Office headquarters.

Acebuche said they will next conduct a week-long operation against colorum tricycle drivers and operators in the northern part of the city.
