THE 14th Acas Palero Moulic (APM) Standard Chess Tournament will get underway on April 22 and 23 at the Damosa Market Basket in Lanang, Davao City.
Event organizer Ely Acas, on his Facebook post, said the event will be a Swiss System Format tournament sanctioned by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP).
Participants of the two-day long tournament sponsored by Jubrealle88 Fashion Bags may compete in Division A or B.
The registration fees are P250 (Division A) and P200 (Division B).
Cash prizes await winners with the Division A champion taking home P2,500 while the next four winners will receive P1,000, P750, P500 and P400.
The Division B champion, however, will pocket P1,500 as the second and third placers will claim P700 and P500, respectively.
Special awards will also be given to the top female, top junior, top 13-under boys and girls and top 10-under boys and girls categories.
Participants are advised to bring own chess clocks.
