15-year-old drug courier rescued in Labangon, Cebu City

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy used as a courier by a suspected big-time drug pusher was rescued in A. Lopez St., Barangay Labangon, Cebu City.

Authorities seized 50 grams of white crystals believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride or "shabu" worth P590,000 during the drug bust on Saturday afternoon, July 1.

The target of operation, Mark Tormis Sarunitman, fled after the minor was rescued.

Authorities brought the boy to the social welfare office.

If caught, Sarunitman will be charged with violation of the Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which prohibits selling of shabu. (VoxPop Cebu)
