AROUND 160 paddlers from across the country converged at SM City Bacolod Main Atrium starting Wednesday for the three-day Governor’s Cup Invitational Table Tennis Championship running until December 29.

Marell Lagunday of Lopue’s Table Tennis Association (Loptta), the long-time partner of this event, said the events include Boys’ and Girls’ 18 and below, Men and Women’s Open, Men’s Executive, Women’s Executive (A and B categories), and the Veterans for 60 years old and above.

This is an annual year-end sporting activity of Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. held in cooperation with Loptta headed by its president Leonito Lopue.

Loptta has produced outstanding table tennis players who have been reaping awards, not only in the local and national levels, but also abroad. (HGD)
