ANTONES Lines and Bacolod City Water District (Baciwa) will open the 1st Bing Uy Soyao Memorial Cup of Basketball Unified Sports Group at 7 p.m. on August 7 at the JGC gym, Goldenfields Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.
Cap Boys and Judge Marketing will take the floor at 8:30 p.m. following the opening ceremony with Betty Soyao, Dr. Shearwin Soyao, and Ronron Soyao as special guests.
To honor the late founder of BUS Group, Rogelio "Bing" Soyao, his number 15 jersey will be retired by Rene Antones of Antones Lines, Sammy Penado of Baciwa, Melvin Baclay of Cap Boys, and Edgar Basco of Judge Marketing.
Tournament format calls for a single round robin, a crossover semifinal with number one and two teams having a twice to beat advantage and a knockout final.
A kickoff party will be held for active BUS Group members at Rubix Restobar through Huskies Kirk Morales and company on August 5 starting at 7:30 p.m.
