TWO men died while two others were injured in separate road accidents in Negros Occidental in the past two days.
In Bacolod City, a college student died after his motorcycle collided with a private vehicle along Gonzaga Extension, Barangay Taculing at 5:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 6.
Police identified the fatality as Roger Artajo Jr., 24, of Purok Matinimanon, Escalante City, while injured was Reja Cristina Olandesca, 39, of Purok Maghirupay, Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod.
Investigation showed that Artajo was speeding when he hit the vehicle driven by Olandesca.
Artajo succumbed to head injuries while Olandesca sustained minor injuries.
In Kabankalan City, both on board a motorcycle, a teenager died while his friend was injured while avoiding a dog along the national highway of Barangay Tagukon on Wednesday, July 5.
The fatality was identified as Jefry Talagtag, 19, of Barangay Balicotoc, Ilog town, while injured was motorcycle driver Kart Mayang, 22, also of Ilog.
Police records showed that Mayang lost his balance, causing the motorcycle to fall.
Talagtag was declared dead at a hospital due to head injuries. (GYM)
