SAN LUIS -- Two suspected drug personalities were arrested recently in anti-illegal drug operation launched by elements of the San Luis police force.
Police Chief Inspector Charlmar Gundaya identified the suspects as Joseph Flores, 36, from Barangay San Jose in this town, and Gonorceda Dacoba, 39, a resident of nearby Baliwag, Bulacan.
Flores, who is a former drug surrenderer, was initially flagged down in a checkpoint conducted by local authorities where the suspect cooperated.
Upon inspection, police were able to find a piece of small sachet containing suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu which led to his immediate arrest.
Meanwhile, Dacoba was arrested in a buy-bust operation where he positively sold a sachet of illegal drugs to a poseur buyer.
During the operation, Dacona reportedly tried to elude authorities by speeding off in his motorcycle but was later caught and arrested by officers.
The two suspects are now facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act.
