2 men die in San Fernando motor crash

TWO men, including a foreigner, died while a woman was injured past 12 a.m. Monday, January 22, on the national highway in Barangay Sangat, San Fernando town, Cebu.

Police Officer 3 Marjukim Misuari identified the fatalities as Romel Saraum and Kacper Chwedeczko, a native of Poland.

Chwedeczko's companion Lilanie Sinajan, a resident from Cordova, Cebu, suffered injuries in different parts of her body.

Investigation conducted by the traffic team led by Police Officer 3 Oscar Carbonilla showed Saraum, who is also from Sibonga, and Chwedeczko were driving their respective motorcycles.

Sinajan was Chwedeczko's passenger. They were traveling on the northbound lane, heading to Cebu City.

Saraum was on the opposite, southbound lane. Upon reaching Sangat, both motorcycles collided head-on.

Both drivers were rushed to Cebu Provincial Hospital in Carcar City, Cebu, but they did not make it alive.

Sinajan was brought to a private hospital in Naga City, Cebu, but she was later transferred to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City. (KAL/VoxPop Cebu)
