In Himamaylan City, Francis de Asis, 28, of Sitio Mapait, Barangay Su-ay, lost control of his vehicle, and hit a tree and a perimeter fence in the said village at 12:20 a.m. Monday.
He succumbed to head injuries.

Police identified the fatality as Romeo Bajala Jr., 29, of Sitio Binigsian, Barangay Cubay.
Records from La Carlota City Police Station showed that Bajala was reportedly speeding when he collided with the rear portion of the truck driven by Agustin Samsona, 43, of Moises Padilla town, who was executing a left turn.
Bajala sustained head injuries and was brought to a hospital, where he did not make it alive.
Frustrated murder
A village watchman is facing frustrated murder charges after he shot a man at Purok Pag-asa, Barangay Toboso, Negros Occidental Saturday night.
Chief Inspector Ariel Pico, town police chief, said charges were filed against Ricky Jimena, 47, of the same barangay, before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office on Monday.
On December 2, Jimena was having a drinking session with Roger Seredon, 33, when a heated argument ensued between them.
Pico said Seredon tried to grab Jimena’s firearm, but the latter prevented him.
While the victim was on his way home, Jimena fired at him.
Seredon was brought to a hospital while Jimena voluntarily surrendered to the police.
It was caused by drunkenness, police said.
