2 nabbed for unauthorized selling of petroleum products

TWO persons were caught for alleged unauthorized selling of petroleum products in Barangay Ocaña, Carcar City, Cebu, around 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 3.

City Police Chief Randy Korret identified the suspects as Rowena Hibo Gempeso, 43, and Glenn Torres Milagrosa, 32.

Seized from Gempeso were a container of 20 liters of gasoline, five one-liter bottles filled with gasoline, 19 empty one-liter bottles for refilling, and P620 cash.

Milagrosa yielded 15 containers filled with 200 liters of gasoline with an estimated value of P9,400. His multicab was also impounded by the police.

The two were arrested after the Department of Energy personnel reported them to the police station.

The suspects will face a complaint for violation of the Presidential Decree 1865, which prohibits illegal trading of petroleum products. (KAL/VoxPop Cebu)
