POLICE arrested two persons for possessing around three kilos of marijuana in Sitio Nasipit, Barangay Talamban, Cebu City, around 10 a.m. Thursday, April 20.
Nabbed were Tristan Keith Lavilla, 25, and Arnold Campañon, 18.
The suspects said they got the marijuana from Balamban. They paid P7,000 per kilo.
Lavila denied they sell pot to students, but Talamban barangay captain Dario Arcilla doubted this.
A police officer caught the suspects repacking the weed.
In an interview, Lavilla and Campañon said they planned to celebrate marijuana appreciation day Thursday, April 20, with their friends.
The activity is known worldwide as "420," or the International Weed Day.
Lavilla said marijuana helped heal his anxiety, while Campañon said the weed eased his asthma problem. (KAL/VoxPop Cebu)
