FOUR people, including two village officials, were arrested in a law enforcement operation in the Province of Zamboanga del Sur, the police said on Wednesday, August 2.
Arrested were Danilo Alagon, 41, the village chief of Licuroan, Midsalip town, Romeo Alagon, 46, a councilor of the same village, Leonardo Arapon, 31, farmer, and John Rey Candong, 23.
Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office- Zamboanga Peninsula, said the suspects were arrested around 6 a.m., Tuesday, August 1, at Purok 1, Licuroan, Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur.
Galvez said they were arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of warrant of arrest.
She said the suspects have standing warrant of arrest for the crime of murder with no recommended bail issued by the court last May 8. (VoxPop Philippines)
