TWENTY-FIVE female inmates of Metro Bacolod District Jail (MBDJ)-Female Dormitory in Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City tested negative for illegal drugs.
This was announced in the jail’s Facebook post after Jail Officer 1 Carmena Ingente, the jail nurse, conducted a random drug test among the inmates on Monday.
The selected inmates submitted their urine samples.
The jail’s initiative is in support of the anti-illegal drug campaign of Chief Superintendent Deogracias Tapayan, acting chief of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).
The newly-installed acting chief of BJMP vowed to rid jails of illegal drugs and other contrabands.
