3 injured in 2 motorbikes collision in Zamboanga City

THREE people, including a military official, were injured in a collision of two motorcycles along the highway in an east coast village of Zamboanga City, the police said on Tuesday, June 27.

The Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) said that the incident occurred around 1:50 p.m., Monday, June 26, along the highway in the village of Curuan.

The police identified the victims as Captain Basubas Randy, 35, of North Cotabato, Ricky Siarot, 27, and Rey Anne Siarot, 14, both of Quiniput, Zamboanga City.

Investigation showed that Randy was driving a motorcycle traveling to the city proper from Pagadian City when he collided with another motorcycle driven by the elder Siarot that suddenly crossed the highway upon reaching the intersection at Sitio Presa in the village of Curuan.

Both drivers and the back rider have sustained injuries and were rushed to the Cristino Paragas Memorial Hospital in the village of Quiniput for treatment. (VoxPop Philippines)
