3 minors, 92 others nabbed in drug bust

THREE minors and 92 others were arrested during a major simultaneous anti-criminality and anti-terrorist operations dubbed as "One Time Big Time" conducted on Friday, June 23, by various law enforcement agencies in Davao City.

Davao City Police Office (DCPO) spokesperson Police Senior Inspector Ma. Teresita Gaspan told reporters that the two minors were captured by the operatives of the Sta. Ana police Station while the other one was of Buhangin Police Station.

Of the 95 apprehended, 80 are males and 15 are females.

Gaspan said the arrested number of individuals are higher compared to their last operation pegged at 65 last May.

Authorities conducted 31 drug bust and implemented 11 search warrants and 41 warrants of arrest.

The operatives recovered undetermined amount of methamphetamine hydrocloride or “shabu,” hidden inside a stuffed toy, two 9 mm., two grenades, and six improvised explosive devices while the three most wanted were also captured during the operation.

The OTBT, the anti-criminality or the terrorism major clearing operation, is a simultaneous police operations conducted by different law enforcement agencies including the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Task Force Davao, Highway Patrol Group, the Public Safety and Security Command Center, Philippine Coast Guard, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Regional Crime Laboratory Office-Davao.
