A TOTAL of 320 kilograms of illegally-slaughtered meat were confiscated in two separate operations conducted by operatives of Task Force Botagoy in two public markets Bacolod City during the New Year’s break.
Rex Juplo, head of Task Force Botagoy, said on Monday about 140 kilos of horse meat placed inside a tricycle were seized outside the Burgos market.
He added that they also confiscated about 180 kilos of “hot meat” from a stall at the satellite market of Barangay Bata.
Juplo said the confiscated meat were burned and buried at the city’s slaughterhouse grounds. (MAP)
