6 Ceres standouts called up for AFC Asian Cup

SIX Ceres Negros Football Club (FC) standouts were called up again by the Philippine Football Federation to be part of the 23-man team for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers match against Tajikistan on June 13 in Dushanbe.

The Philippines opened their AFC Cup Qualifiers third round campaign with a 4-1 triumph over Nepal back in March.

Before flying to Tajikistan, the Philippines, currently ranked 127th, will take on the China PR national team in an international friendly match in Guangzhou on June 7.

Among the Ceres FC players called for another national duty are Jeffrey Christiaens, Kevin Ingreso, Jim Junior Munoz, Manuel Ott, Iain Ramsay and Luke Woodland.

Completing the 23-man team are Global Cebu FC’s Misagh Bahadoran, Amani Aguinaldo, Patrick Phillip Deyto, Hikaru Minegishi, Nicholas O’ Donnell and Dennis Villanueva; Meralco Manila’s Nathanael Ace Villanueva, and Younghusband brothers, James Joseph and Philip James.

Others are Kenshiro Michael Daniels and Antonio Miguel Ugarte of Kaya FC-Makati, Fitch Johnson Daviz Arboleda of Stallion Laguna, Dominic Liam del Rosario of Ilocos United, Camelo Tacusalme of JPV Marikina, Mike Rigoberto Ott of Angthong United, Javier Patiño of Henan Jianye, and Daisuke Sato of Iasi.
