SIX suspected drug personalities were caught in a series of anti-illegal drugs operations in the northern Cebu towns of Consolacion and Liloan.
Operatives seized 23 packs of white crystals believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu,” worth more than P180,000, a Dangerous Drugs Board value.
In Consolacion, Jovanie Dumanog, 19; John Bendulo, 26; Pempem Dungog, 35; and Linsey Balverde Banzon, 34, were arrested in a series of operations that started at 11 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, and ended at 2:35 a.m. Wednesday, February 21.
Chief Inspector Gerard Ace Pelare, the town police commander, said 14 small packs of shabu were seized from the suspects during the drug busts in the villages of Cansaga and Tugbongan.
At 10 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, John Dexter Aventurado Sanchez, 28, was caught in Sitio Landing, Barangay Catarman, Liloan.
The suspect yielded 15 grams of shabu worth P177,000 to the team supervised by Chief Inspector Randy Korret, the town police commander.
At 1:50 a.m. on the same day, Ryan Baticulon Wagas was captured by the team led by Inspector Mikhail Mallorca in Sitio Tiltilon, Barangay Jubay, Liloan.
Seized from him were six small packs of shabu worth P8,496.
Suspects will be facing complaints for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (KAL/VoxPop Cebu)
