FIVE persons were injured after a Ceres Liner bus hit a van on the national highway of Bangga Dose, Barangay Zone 1 in Talisay City, Negros Occidental on Monday, February 5.
Wounded were van driver Jose Rocio, 57; passengers Jennifer Baladhay, 21; Ramie Rocio, 52; Sonia Sumaria, all residents of Iloilo City, and temporarily residing at Barangay Matab-ang; and bus passengers Catherine Hinolan, 23; and Conchita Divinagracia, 68, both of Silay City.
Police records showed the bus driven by Jessie Demoral, 42, of Toboso town was on its way to Bacolod City from Victorias City when it hit the van which was crossing the highway.
All victims sustained minor injuries and were brought to a hospital in Bacolod City.
Superintendent Adonis Rosales, city police chief, said the two vehicles were not speeding.
Demoral, who is unharmed, is detained at Talisay City Police Station.
