FOUR persons were arrested for sale and possession of illegal drugs while three others were arrested for illegal gambling in separate operations in Negros Island since Tuesday.
Three persons were collared when police raided their houses in separate drug bust operations in Bacolod City on September 13.
Danilo Carpentero, 40, was arrested at Purok Cagaycay, Barangay 2 after he sold a sachet of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to a police agent for P200.
Police also recovered from him two more sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia.
Also arrested were Carpentero's companions Rodel Dayon, 47; Ranolfo Rendon, 32; and Richard Jimenez, 35, who were caught playing the card game “pusoy” outside the house.
Personnel of Police Station 1 also arrested Carlos Robles, 24, of Purok Dughan, Barangay 10 and Harold Jordan, 34, of Sipalay City in Bacolod City.
Police seized from Robles two sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia, P170 cash, and the P220 marked money while Jordan yielded drug paraphernalia.
The recovered illegal drugs weighed 0.099 grams.
Drug charges were already filed against the suspects.
In Negros Oriental, Don Guzarem, 44, was arrested by virtue of a search warrant at Barangay Luca, Tanjay City on Wednesday that led to the recovery of illegal drugs.
He is facing charges violation of Sections 11 and 12 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
