THE examination schedule for Civil Service is fast approaching. It would be on March 12 this year. Those who have filed may feel pressured and excited at the same time.
For first timers, you might feel curious on what type of examination would it be. For second timers and those who've tried several times but didn’t make it, you already have ideas on what particular subjects you will review on.
You can also use these tips on getting ready to any type of examination.
Here are some tips on how you can prepare yourself for the examination:
• Do some research
There are lots of information given in the internet. All you have to do is do your research. Choose those sites that are reliable. These will probably give you particular topics that will come out during the examination.
• Review
This can either be done through self-review or over a review center. But the best thing to do is just to review the basics.
There are questions that look complicated but the answer is simple. Meaning, you don’t have to complicate things. You can try to do a mock test so you won’t feel nervous in answering the real test on the actual day.
• Time Management
If you are currently working or studying, you must organize your time well. Have it one at a time. Prioritize your studies first and your work, but don’t forget to spare some time on reviewing.
• Number your days
When you have searched all the subjects that you need to review, have your days numbered on. In a week, you have seven days, so, spare each day with at least two hours to review on just one subject – then another subject the next day. Continue to do this within 21 days and it will become your habit – that is enough for the remaining one month to review before the examination.
• Do not stress yourself
Even if you have to review, always remember that you don’t need to stress yourself. Balance your time well. Putting too much stress on yourself can sometimes lead you on not making it to the examination.
• Be exam ready
One week before the examination day, you should be well and ready. Prepare the things you need. On the day of the examination, get up early, have your breakfast taken, and wear your comfortable but presentable clothes. Don’t be late!
• Pray
Nothing beats prayer. So make it a habit to pray always. He will provide if you are sincere in all the things that you do. If reviewing and praying goes hand in hand, then pretty sure, you will pass the examination.
So now, you already have some tips on what to do, so why not do it now? Some of you were bothered but things were just as simple as this. If you get yourself to follow these tips, you might as well take the test easy.
The test is a multiple choice type and you need to shade the letter that corresponds to your answer – using a black ball pen. Do not doubt your answers. Just give your best shot at it.
Pass the examination and you will have a reason to celebrate something great this year!
