SOME 100 participants are expected to vie for honors in the Team Titans Davao (TTD) 70K National Ultramarathon Season 3 slated November 12 and 13 in an out-and-back course from Victoria Plaza parking lot.
TTD vice president Frankie Tongo bared this during Thursday's Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at The Annex of SM City Davao.
Tongo said 80 runners from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao signed up for the race, adding that their very own Jonathan Pidowill defend its title for the fourth time.
Gun start is at 6 p.m. on November 12 and cut-off time is 15 hours.
He added that the route will cover the three districts of Davao City, from Victoria Plaza going to F. Torres St., turning right to Marfori Heights straight to Maa then turn left to NCCC Mall passing through Shrine Hills in Matina going to Diversion Road to Catalunan Grande and Mintal. The turning point will be in Ulas then turning left to Bangkal, straight to Quimpo Boulevard and passing to R. Castillo, Panacan to Damosa and back to origin.
The registration is pegged at P1,800 inclusive of carbo loading, medal, customized trophy, certificate and post-run food.
The top three male and female finishers will receive gift certificates and cash prizes.
The proceeds of the event will benefit the Southern Philippines Medical Center pediatric ward surgery. (ABM)
