FOR the purpose of glorifying God and to influence communities through music, a band which hails in Davao City was conceived in 2016. Members of the band are from the praise and worship team in Oceans of Life Ministries Davao.
Currently, the band has seven members in their lineup namely Shoji, Vocalist/Composer, Frenne Mher, bass guitarist/keyboardist, Domienne, vocalist, Anthony Jay, drummer, Armand Anthony, vocalist/composer, Michael Angelo, rhythm guitarist and Daniel Ray as the lead guitarist.
The band’s musical tastes range from reggae, hip-hop, rock, Christian, and tribal. The songs are particularly addressed to the Christian community and its lyrical themes are centered on the realities of Christian living and the reality of God.
The band plans to release their debut album entitled “Share Ang Pulong” which consists of eight tracks namely Isyagit Nato, Wala Mi Diri Karon Kung Wala Ka, Nalipay Ko Pag-ayo, Di Ko Kalimtan, Daygon Ka O Diyos, Unsa-on Ang Realize, Hagit Sa Panaghiusa, and Share Ang Pulong.
The band has had few appearances in youth camps, church gatherings, and evangelism crusades. Also, the songs included in their upcoming album are addressed particularly to the Christian community.
The name Truth Salad means fresh revelation. Truth = Jesus; Salad = Rhema, Raw, or Fresh. Thus the name suggests that the band’s lyrical content comes from God through revelation.
The band is set to do a free show in August 2017 called Restore. Details will be posted on FB, so check it out for updates.
