LGBT stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender. Most of these special people are talented and play very important roles in our society. Some are movie film producers, directors, actors and actresses. Others are broadcasters and writers. Still others belong to the different political parties in the country,
Yes, you see them acting in the television or in a movie. You hear them crooning the most requested song and see them dancing the latest craze. You meet them at the shopping malls, and you seat them in during an election. Thus, you could hardly wink at their existence, for here and elsewhere, they are.
In spite of their well-nigh omnipresence and valuable contribution to our society however, critics keep on attacking their personalities by casting slurs on their humanity, by libel, by biblical implication that God created only a man and a woman and that they had not encountered any of the third kind in the Old Testament and New Testament of the Holy Scriptures.
But though it is true that human beings started from Adam and Eve, it is also true that their descendants differed from one another, nonetheless. There are those who were born blind, cross-eyed, conjoined twins, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual better known as Silahis and the Transgender who appeared to have been hatched out of season.
How unlike the LGBT critics is City Mayor Edwin Santiago. Instead of criticizing the members of the association, he treats them the way any human being should be treated. He pays respect to these special people and showed such affection by holding an exclusive press conference for them from which was revealed that the number of LGBT members in the city had reached 400.
How considerate can a Christian like Santiago get? The bible-reading mayor knows full well that Paul wrote about the sinfulness of the LGBT perversion (Romans 1:26-28) even as he also knew that the gospel teaches: “Do not judge or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and the measure you used, it will be measured to you” (Matthew 7: 1-3).
