Aljur Abrenica on joining Coco Martin's 'FPJ's Ang Probinsyano'

COCO Martin revealed it was his idea to include Aljur Abrenica in primetime television series "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano".

During the press conference of the program on Thursday evening, August 3, the Kapamilya actor said he met Abrenica a long time ago and immediately built a good rapport with the latter.

When he knew that Abrenica is joining ABS-CBN, he immediately sought the management and requested the former to join the evening series.

One time nagkasama kami sa gym.

Abrenica also disclosed that his move to ABS-CBN came as a big surprise but definitely a welcome one.

"Mabilis yung mga nangyari e. Ganito na lang, after I ended my contract with GMA, yung manager ko, tinawagan ako. Doon na nagsimula," he said.

Abrenica, a homegrown talent of GMA-7, ended his contract with the Kapuso station in March 2017.

Now that he's associated with ABS-CBN, the actor said he's inspired to work again and is looking forward to this new chapter in his career.

As of this posting, no words yet on his other shows on ABS-CBN. (VoxPop Philippines)
