THE Social Security System (SSS) in coordination with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) has launched recently the “AlkanSSSya” program for the inmates at the Zamboanga City Reformatory Center (ZCRC).
SSS Vice President for Western Mindanao Rodrigo Filoteo said the program, which was launched on last April 5, aims to help the inmates to enroll with SSS and enables them and their families to avail themselves of the benefits.
An inmate can drop money in the coin boxes put up by SSS inside the ZCRC.
ZCRC Warden Ervin Diaz said the monthly contributions will be derived from the inmates’ income from their small cottage industry.
The money should reach P312 at the end of the month corresponding to their monthly SSS contribution.
