LOVE shouldn’t be a betrayal. It shouldn’t be a hell but heaven.
Angels, sometimes, sleep and miss guarding couples’ hearts-the heart that loves unfortunately gets hurt-and God, it hurts much. And you continually dwell on the pain, expecting he or she comes back. Then, it breaks your soul, leaves you defenseless and lifeless. Now, you become like a living dead.
But do you know that the pain that breaks your totality is also the experience that can heal your wounded heart and soul completely? How then will the actual pain, mend a wrecked but once a true and loving heart? How does the loss transform you into a stronger person?
I would like to share to you my moving thoughts using the chorus lyrics of the song “You made me stronger” which was popularized by Regine Velasquez.
I believed some are experiencing deep pains right now because of the chronic lies of their partners, cheating behaviors of spouses, and indifferences while some are still in the process of holding on or hopefully moving on.
Hey, believe me – these experiences can make you a better and stronger person. How so? You better read on…
“Cause you’ve made me stronger by breaking my heart.” It is true that experience is the best teacher. The numbing pain when you remember the old sweetness is an experience that will bring you to life once again. A heartbreaking incident or incidences can become your wisdom that will develop your strengths.
The success in your battle against tormenting and unimaginable pain readies yourself from the other worst pains that you will encounter. What makes a difference is how you’re learning from the disastrous relationship in your life.
“You ended my life and made a better one start.” Pain after the love is gone may come so slow or quick and the wound caused by someone who decides that you are not part of his or her life does not actually bleed but kills you instantly.
But if death exists, life also does – a once beautiful love that ended can still begin beautifully with someone who deserves your love better. Don’t be scared. It’s alright to fall in love over and over again. Open your doors. Someone is waiting for you.
“You’ve taught me everything from falling in love to letting go of a lie.” It is never easy to forget somebody who once became your universe. How do you unlove a person who taught you how to love? Do not hate that person who once was your universe. Hatred is engraved deep in the heart. If you want to let go of someone, hate cannot help. As you forgive, you eventually let go of the lie that the love between you and the other person is forever. Don’t feed yourself that everything can be restored.
Acceptance is strength.
“Yes, you’ve made me stronger, baby by saying goodbye.” A goodbye in a relationship occurs for various reasons. It may be due to a career change, geographical transfer, individual differences, boredom or the worst is when the loved one finds another person to love.
Goodbye is a word oftentimes link to sadness but it shouldn’t be. Goodbyes are meant to set you free from heavy weights like pains, bitterness, violence and injustices.
Remember that even though he or she may have stopped loving you, he or she has not stopped strengthening you.
Let us all then sing the last part of the lyrics – Thank you for setting me free…Ooohh... don't u know, I'm not the one of the losing end…
“Nagmahal, nasaktan, now stronger”
