TOXIC people are everywhere and getting rid of them might be difficult.
You can have two choices in dealing with them – you can fake liking them or you can tell them how disastrous their attitudes are but be careful with the latter because the person might hate you for the rest of their lives.
Faking is of course a not so good character, but sometimes you would rather be professional than become mean to other people. Some would say that pretending to be okay with people you know who are plotting something evil behind your back is a coward attitude but that is actually different from fearing the person because you are only choosing to have a peaceful environment.
People who are truly professionals are those that can contain their emotions and they appear calm most of the time when dealing with difficult people.
It is hard to flash a happy smile to a person whom you know is wishing you death. It is terrible to have a photo taken by a person whom you know describes you like hell. Oh, it is even a bad day to sit beside these people eight hours a day. But if they can fake it to show to other people that they are the good guys and that you are the least person everybody should join with then surprise them by being more extra accommodating and that you can play their games too.
Don’t let them end their days laughing out loud because they were able to trick you. Sometimes you choose not to be true to people who don’t deserve to be treated right. Trust only authentic people.
But then it is more difficult to confront people who are toxins to others. It is a fact that truth hurts and when someone is hurting with the truth about themselves, she or he becomes close-minded and focuses only on how they are going to mend the pain. Usually, they wear a mask of lies and retaliate by making their enemies’ life disastrous. And they can never sleep well unless they have seen you crawling in misery.
Studies say that people who cannot accept loss have unresolved issues in their past lives or they may have insecurities that are eating their self-esteem.
It is alright not to be good at everything. We cannot have everything in life. There is always a time for joy and a time for sadness, a time to win and a time to lose.
Do not feel bad when somebody shines; instead, rejoice because blessings are flourishing. Do not blame others for your faults. Learn to understand that responsibility entails hard work and accountability. Do not redefine hard work as doing things all on your own because everyone has their gifts too. Allow people to utilize it.
But then, there are also open minded people who learn from the truth when they are informed about their mistakes and lapses, thereby causing them to change for the better. These are true people who are not ashamed to admit their mistakes and willing to change for the common good.
Toxic people are indeed everywhere – at home, at the neighborhood, office, school, malls and etc. You can choose to fake or to be true, but again it has both positive and negative effects. Know that you cannot change them and that life is not always fair.
I guess the best thing is for toxic people to have self-awareness – you don’t own this world and other people, so stop hurting them! You might be prettier or more handsome on the outside but maybe not on the inside – you might be a devil in disguise... truth hurts!
