ANDI Eigenmann finally broke her silence on the paternity issue of her daughter, Ellie, and asked everyone to respect the child's privacy.
The actress released an official statement on Friday through her management firm, Viva Artists Agency.
"Recent events have put my daughter, Ellie, into the limelight with the media, netizens, and strangers questioning who her father is."
"I made a conscious choice to not talk about the paternity of my daughter in order to protect the privacy of Ellie," she added.
Eigenmann reminded everyone that even though her daughter was born to a showbiz family, she still wants to shield her from the gossip and intrigues of the entertainment industry.
She added that Ellie knows who her father is and the latter is very much present in her life.
"Growing up, Ellie knew who her father was and he has been there for her, and that's all that matters. I hope this will put the issue to rest, out of concern for my very young daughter. I'm requesting everyone to respect the privacy of Ellie."
To recall, Eigenmann's half-sister Max had revealed in a radio podcast that Jake Ejercito is Ellie's real father, not actor Albie Casino.
"He [Ejercito] is (the biological father). They did a test. Yeah, he's the dad. He's the dad," Max said.
She also revealed that Andi and Ejercito are "co-parenting," that's why the latter remained very close to Ellie amid their conflict. (Sunnex)
