CLASSES in Mambaling National High School, Mambaling village, Cebu City, were suspended Wednesday, July 19, following reports of another alleged bomb threat.

The scare, this time, was disseminated through social media by Facebook account holder Diana dela Cruz.

At 3:10 p.m., City Councilor Dave Tumulak posted on Facebook screenshots of dela Cruz's threat.

Authorities are asking the public to help identify dela Cruz who was allegedly the first to post on Facebook of a supposed bombing targeting the school through her personal account.

As of 4 p.m., dela Cruz’s Facebook account is no longer searchable and may have been deactivated.

On Tuesday, simultaneous bomb threats rattled a Department of Education (DepEd) office and six public elementary schools.

Chief Inspector Sandley Sabang, chief of the Special Weapons and Tactics of the Cebu City Police Office, said the bomb scare was first received by a DepEd official around 8 a.m.

School administrators of the Mabolo National High School, Lahug Elementary School, Carlos A. Gothong Memorial National High School, City Central School, San Nicolas Elementary School, Zapatera Elementary School and Labangon Elementary School received similar calls only minutes apart. (RTF)
