ANTONES Lines and Judge Marketing, already assured of 1-2 positions, collide for the top spot in the 2016 Basketball Unified Sports Group inter-color as the four-team league ends its double round elimination on Wednesday at the JGC gym at Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The Transporters ran over Capitol Boys, 92-75 and Bacolod City Water District (Baciwa), 94-83 for a 4-1 record. The Merchandisers likewise repeated over Baciwa, 102-83 and CapBoys, 71-58 to arrange a fitting climax and try to avenge its 69-86 defeat in the first round.

Both semi-finalists seekig the lead and a twice-to-beat advantage meet at 7 p.m. to be followed by CapBoys and Baciwa at 8:30. p.m. The Watermen are still winless in five games and are determined to end the drought.

Antones Lines will again rely on Kokoy Fuentebella, who is averaging 31 points but hit only 12 markers after Dagol Flores’s 20 and Rene Antones’s 12 over Baciwa whose offense came from Digol Benedicto’s 36, Andrew Sales’s 20, Toto Ong’s 14, and Hermilo Herrera’s 10.

Edgar Basco’s presence in the paint, and the run and gun style of Ariel Tornilla, Tata Denosta, and Kirk Morales will again be JM's bread and butter. The trio have 44-point combine to negate Rex Bayer and Bert Celis who scored 20 each for Cap Boys on Friday.

The top two teams have to be beaten twice in the semis. (HGD)
