TWELVE brand new motorcycles from the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City will be distributed to Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) next week.
Superintendent Gilbert Gorero, spokesperson of Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas, said on Wednesday, February 21, that 20 units of 135 cc Kawasaki Rouser motorcycles arrived at the regional headquarters on same day.
The other eight motorcycles were given to the Iloilo City Police Office.
Gorero said the turnover of motorcycles to BCPO will be held on Monday, February 26.
He added that 10 of the 12 motorcycles will be provided to all 10 police stations in Bacolod City while the two others will be placed at the BCPO headquarters.
Gorero said the newly-issued motorcycles will aid the police stations in the conduct of police visibility, particularly in slum areas that cannot be covered by mobile patrol units.
