A NON-COMMISSIONED officer of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) who was caught sleeping on the job was directed to explain for neglect of duty.
Senior Superintendent Jack Wanky, officer-in-charge of BCPO, withheld the name of the policeman in the meantime.
An official who inspected Police Station 10 in Barangay Handumanan Tuesday night, February 28, found the policeman dozing off while on duty.
Wanky said they are still waiting for the explanation of the police officer, who might be relieved from his post, if proven guilty.
Senior Inspector Ramel Bustamante, head of Police Station 10, said on Thursday, March 2, that the policeman is under investigation, but has not been disarmed as they have not yet received an order.
He has 72 hours to explain, he added.
Bustamante said the policeman was a duty guard assigned to assist the desk officer.
