COUNCILOR Noli Villarosa, president of Liga ng mga Barangay in Bacolod City, said yesterday he is waiting for a communication from the National Liga to answer the complaints filed against him by Jose Maria Leandro Norberto de Leon, village chief Vista Alegre.
Villarosa said De Leon did the right move of filing the complaint before the National Liga, adding that he is willing to answer it.
De Leon filed a complaint for abuse of authority and violation of Section 5 (a) Republic Act 6713 or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standard for Public Officials and Employees against Villarosa, the village chief of Barangay Tangub.
He submitted the November 21 complaint to Edmundo Abesamis, president of the National Liga ng mga Barangay, stating Villarosa’s failure to call for a general assembly and to submit a detailed financial report.
Villarosa said the National Liga is expected to send a notice to him so he can explain his side.
He added that anytime this month, he will call for a general assembly and will answer all the allegations of his colleagues.
Villarosa also said he is hopeful that they could settle the issue to avoid disagreement among the Liga members.
