THE Cebu Banker's Association asked its depositors to withdraw ahead of time, as automated teller machines (ATMs) will be affected once shutting down of cellular sites for the Sinulog will push through.
Cebu City Councilor Dave Tumulak said in a briefing Thursday, January 12, that there is a strong possibility that mobile phone signals will be shut down on Saturday (January 14) and Sunday (January 15) for the solemn procession and Sinulog grand parade.
"We just anticipate. Wala gyuy threat. Gianticipate lang nato daan (There's actually no threat. We are just anticipating it)," he said, adding it is to ensure the public's safety and security.
