BAGUIO City’s premiere fairways are set to host two major golfing event featuring the country’s top professional parbusters.

From June 28 to 30, Baguio Country Club is set to host Baguio Ladies Classic as part of the Ladies Philippine Golf Tour with foreigners expected to beef up the tough three day competition which kicked off last month at the Orchard Golf and Country Club’s Player course in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

ICTSI Orchard Ladies Invitational winner Pauline del Rosario is expected to see action in the three day tournament at the short but tricky BCC layout.

The event serves as one of the leg of the eight-stage circuit backed by Custom Clubmakers, BDO, Meralco, Sharp, KZG, PLDT, Champion, Summit Mineral Water and K&G Golf.

Riviera hosts the sixth leg on July 25-27 for the ICTSI Riviera Championship while Southwoods will stage the penultimate leg on Aug. 15 - 17 with the second ICTSI Philippines Ladies Masters, ruled by Thai Saranporn Langkulgasettrin at Alabang last year, set later this year.

The longer fairways of Camp John Hay meanwhile will host the fifth staging of The Duel, which pits top players from the North and South in a Ryder Cup-style format set July 5-7.

The tournament is part of the ICTSI Forest Hills Championship, which gets going today at the Forest Hills Golf and Country Club in Antipolo. (Roderick Osis)
